Recently I discovered an acquaintance of mine has a 2cv, that now she is thinking of selling. She's now getting a little intimidated by offers and is unsure of what to do. She's a very lovely lady and I said I might be able to help her with an approximate value.

I havent seen the car in person but Melissa sent me some pictures and I was surprised at how nice this thing looks.

Its a 1971 left hand drive. Its had a later 602 motor fitted, and a few years ago apparently it was stripped down to the chassis and redone, with a couple doors and the bonnet replaced. It has electronic ignition I think.

Melissa says its in great condition but does have a little rust underneath on the non galavanised chassis. Approx 59k miles.

If anybody could give us an idea I'd be really grateful. It looks a nice 2cv and I would hate for Melissa to be taken advantage of. The car is based in London.

Thanks guys. Actually ebay hasn't been much use because this one seems a bit unusual. I'll have a look at that other site though.
