Morning all.

What make of radio/ model would have been dealer fitted in an 80's 2cv? Also where is favourable for fitting speakers other than the door cards?

Cheers Mark

I guess it might depend on the country, which make of radio is fitted.

For Norway, Citroën had a deal with Phillips in the 80's and the 90's. So most Citroën sold by dealers was equipped with Phillips/VDO radio and speakers. I think the dealers often mounted box-type speakers under the shelf/tray in the front

Personally, I prefer the speakers to be either on the underside, or on, the shelf in the front.
The doors are to thin and flimsy for speakers, and the cords tends to be a problem after a few years. And, I think it's practical with door pockets (Mesh type) on the doors.

Cannot really remember it being an option when we bought our last new one in '86 - used to glue wedge pod speakers onto the panel in front of the A pillar - used to get plenty of bass from them there.....

I've always had my speakers at the top of the B pillars. Sound good there.

That was the same for dealers in the UK. After Phillips they changed to Clarion but I can't remember when: it may have been after the end of 2CV production.

i have flat blaupunkt speakers in every door. Never had any problems with the cables. The radio is a philips. Space in the doors filled with glass wool.

No radio in ours. The sound of the twin pot is music to my ears. :D
