I'll buy the car off you for what you paid plus a bit more.

Go ahead Tom. Do it, get it restored, and prove me wrong.

I will eat my own hair!

Post Re: I need your help* FAST *
Tom,

Please bear in mind what's happened here. You've told everybody it's your car, and now you're telling us it isnt, for the second time, you must appreciate why folk find this a bit fishy?

This website was set up by a bunch of good humoured 2cv enthusiasts for other 2cvers who enjoy the wide open minded fun outlook of owning an A-series. The 2cving attitude is one where we all help each other out and make friends all over the world because of our common interest in PJBs wonderful little car. When you bought your last 2cv a large number of folk on here offered to help you restore it, and despite this you and/or the other owner scrapped it anyway.

The good nature of 2cv people goes a very long way, but as has been said here, you have to meet them halfway.

The fact that within a couple of weeks you've bought another perfectly servicable car is great, and I think if your attitude is different you will fit in well here and I can't see any reason why we can't sort your car out for when you're 17. There is more than enough help, expertise and knowledge available on this website alone that any car is saveable. Perhaps being a little more open about who actually owns things will go a long way, there's no shame in not having a 2CV, look at Brian, he's been a member since long before he actually got his first car, and because he's taken the time to listen to the advice offered to him he's got one and is busy making friends and having fun.

I've been on the recieving end of your attitude before, and I'm not the only one. It's not the kind of attitude that's going to get results and make you popular, as you have probably noticed with some of the replies to this thread.

I understand your frustration if this is the case that you've been promised two cars and it's entirely down to somebody else that you've been let down, if that's what's happened I think you're best off buying YOUR OWN 2cv (the budget you said you had would be ample) and then you can't be at risk from somebody else calling the shots with it.

Also, bear in mind that advertising a wholesale cull of 2CVs which my 4 year old could repair probably won't go down well on a 2cv forum.

By taking on board advice from people with more experience and knowledge than you is simply called learning.

Ignoring that advice because you think you know better, leading people into arguments, accusing folk of lying and expecting the world on a plate isn't. Rest assured, this is fact.

Take this as friendly advice, as that's as it's meant.

Thanks,

Russ.
