Deuche is simply a contracted form from deux chevaux ...... and virtually everyone would have known what you mean in France.

I thought this thread would sink without trace

I'm so chuffed that it's still on the road and looking better (on the outside anyway) than it did when I sold it to Russ

The rear wings have been filled (i doubt they were replaced - GRP and steel are hard to find and pricey) and the little reflector sourced.

the door tops were so so rotten - strangely the 'best' one was the driver's door - the only one I got round to botching

hate the wheels though

thanks for aquiring those pictures Neil

I feel like I've just seen an ex-wife snogging her new husband.....actually quite sad we parted

Getting one back slowly.

I'm looking for another car at the moment but I've got a budget of about £150 and it must have MOT for at least 5 months, I can't see me getting an A series that fits those parameters nowadays!

I did, LL. I didn't make the tool though, I got them from a place on ebay down in Devon/Cornwall. They are simply swage tools though, to cut the holes I use Qmax cutters. If you're really rich you can buy a combined cutter and swage tool. Americans call them dimple dies. They are my favourite tool.
