Maybe not, but he'd know what his test station will pass/fail cars on.

Cheers for that Joe, I've been looking for that ever since I put it through the floor. Now, where's my sewing kit?

Hi Oboe (and others, not been around for a while)

Its probably still too far, but many Sussex 2CVers use a garage called "Sergant Hall" in Eastbourne.

They see quite a few of our cars and whilst the guy is a bit grumpy (generally....not just about 2CVs), he knows about 2CV king pins, he knows all the other little bits too. Julien Ford has taken all his cars there for years. I have taken all my cars, 2CVs, boring cars, campers and commercial vehicles...I check everything over as a matter of course before each test, but never has anything failed there.

Its a straight MOT though, the car does have to be right and you wont get away with anything that clearly is wrong, but they are not looking for work at all and as I say are aware of the things that are the oddities of a 2CV.

If you are interested I will get the number for you.

Also if you book a test there one morning and have a problem, you would be very welcome to come to my place (just a mile away) and use my garage and gear to sort it out and run it back later in the day.

Regards,

John
