 Re: Fuel Prices
I'd guess you'd find that information using Google.

 Re: Fuel Prices
Would prefer actual numbers rather than some aggregated/massaged/sponsored site?

 Re: Fuel Prices
Petrol & diesel we're pretty much in the middle, but when it comes to everything else we are cheap, by cheap I mean cheaper than any other Western European country and cheaper than even Eastern European countries, with only a couple of Eastern European countries being marginally cheaper on gas & electricity (But when you consider the average income in those countries compared to the UK, it's far from cheap for the locals). Rip off Britain is a myth, we are pretty much the cheapest for allsorts, cars, white goods, services, food, taxes, High St shops, you name it, look it up, we're cheap. Wine is about the only exception. http://www.energy.eu/#Domestic-Elec

The only countries we went to on our travels which were out of whack were Italy - more expensive than the rest of Europe - and Tunisia - much cheaper. Other than that, everywhere else was pretty damn similar. Spain was definitely to the lower-end of prices. Sure, they were a snidge up or down, but nothing worth worrying about at borders. When you factor the general cost of living in, and the average salaries, it put the UK as really quite affordable. It's also worth remembering that fuel prices here in the UK now are pretty much identical to when we left, in Spring 2011. Pete - We're starting to look into bulk LPG prices (seem to be buying a rather large tank with a gauge reading 10% and a house attached), and they seem hugely variable depending on how hard you look and how hard you bargain with the supplier. As for firewood... God knows what the average load weighs - it certainly seems to vary in volume depending on who delivers it. And it'll definitely vary on price, even across narrow areas of the UK.

We own a house, but electricty and gas is for the missus... I dont care what is costs. I need it, and you always get screwed by the gas/electrical companies. Car fuel in the Netherlands: LPG/GPL: around € 0,75 p/l Diesel: around €1,50 p/l 95: about € 1,70 for a litre 98: around € 1,80 per litre. You tend to pay a bit more or less depending on where toy live.. The south has slightly lower prices than the west (The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam region).
