Post lowered blue Dyane on 4 bolt EMPI sprintstars?
does anyone know who is responsible for this? It has a swing out safari-style windscreen, it appears to be body dropped and is apparently on a vw aircooled chassis and running gear etc.

its probably been featured on here somewhere, but have to ask

Martin,

The guy is a member on here - username 'jopro' - he hasn't logged in since February though! There's a build thread over on snail - about halfway down the page on the 'your ride' forum entitled 'Slammer Dyane'.

I have to say I am partial to slammed cars, my trekker was so low that the tyres burned the paint on the front wings....
But I have to say that as cool add the slamming and rat look are on this car I couldn't live with the vw air cooled engine...... :) honestly the worst engine ever (imho)....still, nice to see something unique......

It's it more of a re shelled VW Beetle than a 'A' series. - 'A' series cars should at least either have a engine in the front or a 2cv type engine some where. Just my opinion

I pretty much agree....part of the joy of the A series is that engine and the awesome suspension....and it's missing those ;)

I agree, I'd rather use a cheese grater on my helmet than drive a Beetle, whilst I have to admire the technical work that's obviously gone into it and I'm sure it's been done well, I can't see how it's a better way round it than just channeling the original Dyane? Ah well, I guess if it made the bloke who built it happy, then that's fair enough.

Does seem a lot of work to end up with a Beetle in Citroen clothes ... as Russ says, I'd just have channelled the Dyane.
