Can I ask a silly question what is Registers Day?? Dont have that over here across the pond.

Registers day is an event organised by 2CVGB, within that club, they have registrars for different types of A-series vehicle, Ami, Dyane, pre-1970, mehari etc etc. The event cosists of two days of chilling out, with nothing laid on, a kind of 'make your own entertainment' weekend, and the Sunday is a show and shine style event in which the different types of car are all parked in a showground along with all the other a-series of that type (all mehari together, all ami together, all dyane together, etc etc). On arrival you're diven a voting slip and you vote for which car is your favourite in each class.

I should point out, it isn't a case of the 'best' or shiniest car that wins, it's whichever the public have voted for. The brilliance of this is that people who have thrown $$$$$ into cars and never use them don't automatically win, and last year, the biggest category for post-1981 disc braked cars was won by 'Betty'...

By the way, i Will never ever give up 2cv'in as i love tha cars soo much also this forum is the dogs nuts. My mums 2cv saved my mums and my life in a serious accident. (I lost my Gran) . Funny why i still like em. Hey ho
