Post 2CV model kit: very wrong.. odd
Hi all

I found this yesterday, a kit I made about 20 years ago:

Image

Thing is it bugs me. The model is too wide. It looks like it has a Dyane bonnet on it. It is all wrong. Maybe when they made the kit someone lent them a 2CV that had been messed around! Also it is channeled, the standard kit is very very low, not what I did, but as standard. I am most confused! I can't leave it out on display as it bugs me so much!

:ugeek:

Is it a kit or a ready made toy?

I think that when you clean it you will have an odd but precious collectable item.

I had this kit when I was younger. Couldn't afford the tamiya/revell models, was a cheaper alternative, think it was Russian or Czech? Box had it made up as a D*lly. I remember discarding it due to its lack of scale accuracy. I had exacting standards when I was 7 years old and this just didn't cut it.

When I made it I was into bashing kits into non-standard shape, funny that the combination of the bad kit and my bashing made it look like a modern 2CV racer!

I had one of these too, If i remember rightly it had an option of putting an electric motor in it and clicky steering so you could make it go round in circles etc.
It was however very much the wrong shape and Im guessing that had something to do with making it motorised.
Made by Imai IIRC?
