Frotteur is french for 'rubbing' (DONT google that) and were fitted inside the front axel I believe. I dont have them and dont really understand them.

Its like a Wet Paint sign I felt a compulsive urge to google Frotteur... I am now conversed with something I didnt need to know but now feel the need to drop the word into polite conversation at work (Im a bit bad like that)
I am starting to feel slightly less all at sea with all this now , I may well have something to put on my checklist.
Fred tends to give me a bit of a Gassing in the Mornings on the way to work, It may well be possable that Mr Reniflaud is causing that?
A Forest would be a Belgian built Citroen.
Im guessing the other things are derivatives of some sort but although at this point I could tell you the difference between a Myrad of Aircooled VW detail changes I have lots to learn on the Citroen front.

I'm looking forward to learning all about it, As you may well already have guessed Im not impartial to Modifying/Lowering stuff either. I do know in certain camps that can cause people to get a bit excitable.

Sidewinder was used well before the Falklands War as nomenclature for Ami Super powered A series - I seem to recall talking about them at my one and only visit to a 2 cvgb meeting in north Manchester around '81....

Without wishing to drag this thread down into tedious and alarming technical detail, it's possible that this is a result of the joint between the cylinder barrel and head leaking exhaust gases into the engine cowling. If it is, it's quite serious and needs sorting, which you would do by removing the head and lapping the joint in using an old barrel with all the fins ground off and some grinding paste. It's not a difficult job, but it is quite involved. Does it only happen when the heater is on?
