Today I've been extracting a 2cv body from under bramble and undergrowth. I noticed on the R/H side under the 'glove' compartment there's a metal tag with it's ends folded into two slits on the underside of the glove compartment. The tag has a series of numbers and perhaps letters (eyes naff close up) stamped on it. When I got home I checked on my 2cv and AK, they both have a similar tag. I'm sure it's been discussed before, but can anyone enlighten me? Thanks |

Probably a 'body number' used internally by Citroen, which is different and separate from a 'chassis number' which is used for a vehicle's identity. |
