Another MOT. Straight through as usual. Even the emissions were excellent.

What did you do with your A Series today?

Everyday... trailer and my 1970 AMI. Can be loaded with trash or just loaded with stove wood for heating my workshop.

At this point, this is my only car ... everyday car...

Very nice,
I had two AMI 8 break in the past.
Great cars .
Started my bussiness with the last one + a trailer , made from an old caravan.
Spades, shovels, rakes, hows , everything went in without a problem .

All I did was start it up. It normally does fortnightly long distance duties but I've been giving one of my other babies a bit of use because of all the wet weather and snow making everything so damp.

It's been a few weeks and it just sits there outside in a big puddle. Started first time, really made me chuckle. What a brilliant little car.

I'll be in it on Sunday so need it to be ready to go.

Had a little potter and fixed a couple things. New outside window catch - I bought the Burton type this time, they're nice aren't they.
Replaced the brake fluid reservoir and also the gear shift linkage rubbers.

Nearly siw years ago, installed all new gaiters, but inner gaiters of front shafts were 50 year old originals. After that, both front outer gaiters changed, other of them twice, two and three years ago...

Now, this is how the rear shaft gaiters look. Not good at all...

A closed look, nice quality, isn't it..?

On outer shafts, I think I have now little better ones, on the front shafts they have last three years now, and no any sign of wear. No much mileage, less than thousand at all, so not mostly standing still... Hope those inner gaiters what i will have tomorrow, are some old ones...

And a little more, new filler plug to rear diff, now it is possible to put oil in without removing the rear diff from Dyane...

Nice little plug, G1/4" -thread, plug has oil seal at lip. There was just enough room to drill the hole, making this was to make about five years or so...
