Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Got myself a replacement lower window on the driver's door when I was down in Worcester last week. The little tab on the frame had broken off, so it's easier and cheaper to just replace the window. It's still in the back of the Golf at the moment, but I might venture out after lunch to fit it.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Still haven't got around to fitting the replacement door window. Weather has been incredibly windy over the past 48 to 72hrs, so not been that bothered. It's much, much calmer now though, and dry too, so I'm half considering popping out to the garage and doing the fix this evening. Then connect the battery and take the car for a drive for the first time in about 3 weeks.

So 9pm this evening I popped out to the garage and after removing the old, broken window, fitted the replacement, reconnected the battery, and tried to start the 2CV. It wasn't having it. Battery as flat as a witch's tit! Jumped it off the modern car and took it down to the island ferry terminal and back. A distance of about 18 miles return. Conditions are dry, but very windy, so speed pegged back to sub 40mph. Back home now.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? .Removed the steering pinion of my Ami-Super as its bearing is shot. Drew up a dimensioned sketch and posted a WANTED ad in the Flea Market..
