Like Megasquirt but using Arduino boards, not as expensive?
How are you doing the Crank sensor?

That's correct, not as expensive, and also open source.

I have a 36-1 trigger wheel behind the alternator/fan pulley. Have realised I can't keep my luminition in place, as it fouls the trigger wheel. Bit if you hat turns out to be the biggest issue, then I will be well please. :D

Perhaps I should start a topic! Didn't before as Geo has done all this before.

We went to our local monthly classic car meeting in Pons on Saturday. Organised by the local 2cv club, so plenty of A series there together with some other lovely interesting stuff too, particularly the two Panhards. Free coffee and cake on arrival and everyone could not have been more friendly and welcoming. We'll definately go again.

Stopped by the guy up the street to have my spare wheel/tire sandblasted. He comes back and says, "This thing has some sort of powder or epoxy coating on it".

He said I'd have to take it to a tire store and have the tire removed using the same method then use on ATV and lawnmower tires. Then he could put it in some oven he has which will blister the powder or epoxy coating off and make it easier to sandblast.

I asked him, "Don't you have a tire changer? You remove the tires from my Trabant rims you sandblasted for me".

He said "Yes but this wheels won't fit my machine because there is no hole in the center of the wheel !! "

I bet tire shops cuss people who bring 2CV rims into having new tires installed. I bet they hate these cars. Having to remove the tires by hand instead of with a machine.

Most tyre fitting machines in the UK don't need the wheel to have a hole in the centre, (although most balancing machines do, ....but have an adapter for those without)

This is a problem I encountered already and it took me a long time to finally find a place that still had the adaptor for their balancing machine. I was lucky really.

Britten Tyres, 15Robert Cort Industrial Estate, 1 Britten Rod, Reading RG2 0AU. 01189751119.

The owner said the adapters are expensive so when people buy new balancing machines they wouldn't be at all likely to buy this extra adapter as almost no cars need them.
