Our monthly 2cv/Classic car meet yesterday, some more interesting stuff including this unrestored Matford from 1936 which had belonged to the current owners' father, and the current owner is no spring chicken! Made in Strasbourg it has a jewel of a 2.2 litre sidevalve V8 under the bonnet, which I think is possibly a Ford engine made under licence.

The whole front end of that looks like the late '30s Ford V8.

Spot on, Mike. Incredibly, only produced here in France for five years. It's a wonder any survived at all, isn't it?

Finally got the Dyane inside. Next is to remove engine, and see if (I'm pretty sure that happened then) I had put wrong type throw out bearing when exchange the engine. Hope to get it done (and some other issues also) before needed parts arrives to my Rangie...

But, without the door, need to dig drivers seat from snow...

And two doors and bonnet out also. Much easier to operate at garage when doors removed...

About hour it took from bonnet release to that point. And phone on the other hand, talking to first 2CV friend I met at 1993. And yes, we laughed about that, how easy is hassle with these little cars, nothing to think with, just spannering same time when having chit-chat... Very nice moment, have a lot of good memories with him...

Oh, do you want to see how much we have snow here..? Little bit too much, again, but it's only my opinion. Kids have another, they like it a lot...
