Bloomin' 'eck, are they still pursuing a 'scorched earth' policy down in Surrey?
Looks as though we'll need to plant even more trees 'oop North' to balance things up... ;)

Apparently Sheffield council are felling 3000 trees around the city because it's cheaper than the ongoing maintenance!

I don't think those shrubs qualify as trees :)

Surrey is actually the most wooded county in England.

And Shetland is the least wooded county in the whole of the British Isles. That's not to say it's treeless though.

Thanks @ knightley
Indeed I live on the edge a forest in a designated conservation area, still the fly tippers have no respect for that , nor do mums driving 1 kid to private school in a enormous
4 x4 on 1 single track lanes , no doubt I will be found in my crumpled 2cv with the imprint on my forehead saying BMW,
Eco me , by choice I drive my 1975 2cv , been driving the little Citroens since 1972 ,
My C/H is set to a max of 19 c , I recycle all I can , and hoard stuff that might come in useful one day , don’t own a TV or licence for more that 25 years , we have no street lighting , but pay rates £1.500 pa + water at £375 pa so yeah us southerners have it easy I guess , least I never spent 12 hour shifts down the coal mine ,
BTW wasn’t born in Surrey , I am a misplaced channel islander , the dreaded “IMIGRANT” at the age of 2 years ,

The usual, new oil, lubed knife edges, drive shafts and king pins.
Bit overdue really I think, done about 5k miles recently. The oil was a good colour coming out though.

Last week a friend and myself trailered mine down to Charente-Maritime where it'll be based now. Such a buzz driving it around France and several favourable comments from our neighbours, which was nice.
