Me and the Beige Beast did a 250 mile round trip today - Stone, Scunthorpe, Newark, Grantham & Stone - averaged over 50mph and monstered a twat in an Audi TT at 80mph on the A50.

Today I filled the suspension pots with veggie oil and changed the gear stick and bushes on the linkage. I now have a car that's so much nicer to drive... I no longer feel like crashing into a tree everytime I go over a speedbump and I don't have to constantly have my hand on the gear stick to stop it rattling like a bastard. Weird how 20 minutes work makes the car so much more pleasurable. I should do it more often.

Used the black & red charleston to test a batch of ignition coils, sadly found some faulty ones which will work fine on 123 or DG ignition but not on points, intriguing.

Used the yellow & black charleston to provide nesting for blackbirds perhaps.

went to a car show at breamore house on sunday, quite a few 2cv,s from the wessex ducks turned up too --the rain held off,

i have the yellow"harley" coil with dg-nition roy, some electronic ignition systems wont work with the original coils, something to do with the coils primary winding- electrical resistance try testing them with a multimeter set on ohms perhaps :?:

Repaired the windscreenwasher on the ami last saturday.. What a pain in the arse to change a simple pipe from the pump to the nozzle.. Half the dash had to be taken off..

But hey, it is working again, cost me nothing (money wise) and I found some lost screws behind the dashboard :)

Fitted a set of secondhand dynamo brushes and got mine back on the road again.
