What did you do with your A Series today?
Mine hasn't been working for three weeks, I've been having to get the bus in to work of an evening then hitch a lift back home with one of our subbies in the morning. So this morning I've taken the horrible electronic points assistance device off and thrown it away, as it was causing the engine to cut out without warning in the most inconvenient of places, like the outside lane of the M42 at 75mph. I've replaced it with standard points and condenser, which (in my opinion) is all an A series needs. What about the rest of you?

Standard points ad condenser. I thought about electronic ignition but was correctly persuaded that original works best
The only thing tht might be worth fitting is a Boyer bransden unit to make the points last longer??

I've been trying to find an annoying nois coming from the passengers side of the D*lly. It drove me mad going too,and coming back from Registers. Its not the infill on top of the wing,so I think the wing will come off today and a test drive will be done

Put a new radio in the pick up yesterday.. The old one (a surprisingly 3-4 years old Pioneer) died after it got wet I think.. The thing worked fine, display was showing everything, even de CD player worked only it wouldn't let me hear anything... Now a new pioneer is up and running Love the sounds of some dubstep vibrating the whole car in the morning

Today-Nothing, it's staying in the garage after a 1770+mile round trip to Orkney. I'm using the C4 to go down to Bristol.
Yesterday-Drove from Dumfries back to Worcester (250miles).

Re: What did you do with your A Series today?
Took the back seat out of mine, opened the roof and dropped a spare bonnet that's been cluttering up my garage into the back. Then I chucked in a spare front headlight rig, and topped it all off by putting an old roof and assorted 2CV shite on top. Then it started raining so I closed the roof.
Later today I'll take it all over to my Dad's, and hide it in the back of the garage while he's away. If he saw me doing it he'd get irate. This way his blood pressure won't get raised, and I won't get sworn at. I'm thoughtful like that...

I looked at the closed garage door and thought about the car within. I then drove to work in a Volvo. The devil, it seems, has taken my soul.
