It *was* sold in 1989! Twenty years is a long time ago.

:D

NDW 743G was my old Ami! Can you scan me a pic of that one please Barrie, I've got no pics of her!!

Cheers!

Only just seen your message, HR. Although Barrie took the pics, I'm Rob and was given the album by Barrie.

I've just scanned the photo at 600dpi, if you PM me your email address I'll send you the file. At a lower res, here it is!

My fascimile of the Ami register as it was when Barrie was the Ami Reg shows that it was at that time owned by Colin Crawford of Churchdown, Glos., first registered on 12/05/69 with chassis number 578221, it had no modifications and was finished in Beige Antelope. It had had seven owners and mileage back then was 234000. I don't know the date of the register entry, but Barrie held the register from sometime before 20/12/87 (when the previous Reg, Jocelyn Remy sent Barrie the register with an apology for delay) until around 13/03/95 when Barrie sent the register on to his successor, Paul Bell.

Here's a closer image of the green 2cv HHY 990N in the background of one of the pics. it's the best quality I can get from an old photo & considering the original image is only about 20mm x 18mm. A following and even closer enhanced image shows the people next to the car, maybe it'll help confirm whether it was Tony Dron's motor.

If it was scrapped then I suppose that having done nearly quarter of a million miles, the equivalent of driving to the Moon, it didn't do too badly!

Hello everyone,

It's a bit of an off-topic question, but I'm looking for some wheel covers like those of the image for some time.
They are 100% customized, right? Is there anyone doing this for sale or do I have to do it myself??

Best regards,

Hi Pacman, thay are called 'Moon discs' made by an old school company in the US called (unsuprisingly) 'Moon'

They are available from custom car suppliers and hot rod clubs would be the place to try, I don't know if they have suppliers in Portugal, but I would think so.

Try Google searching for 'Moon disc suppliers'
