Deeper than it looked, there was a big hole in the middle.

I had to laugh. What you can't see in the photo is the procession of desperate 2CV'ers headed for a slash in the trees. I was waiting for the telltale PSSSHHH....BOOM of someone taking a leak on a landmine. ;D

Ellie looking more than a little travel-stained in the watery afternoon sun. Some people (like Ian and Rachel) had a long trip home. Hope you got back safely!

What a great mix of people from all walks of life, enjoying what was a grand day out.

I had an absolutely top day out, thanks to the two Daves, Aiden and to Martin aka ShedReg for entrusting me at the helm of his gorgeous Dyane. Just got to go buy my own now. Watch this space.

Nice pics! They're getting me right back into 2cv mood, which I've not been for some time.

Yep it was a very enjoyable day out. I think Louise's Betty won the award for most hooned looking car (the joys of having no mud flaps lol)

We left everyone at the little thief as the time versus service ratio seemed dubious to us, with just the one sour-faced waitress and a single, stressed looking chef! We stopped for a coffee en-route instead - took us 2 hours back to Cheshunt this time as opposed to 4 1/2 on the way down. The joys of the M25!
