A neat little unit, cant remember the excact price, think it was about 40 quid.
Now let em try and nick my car  ,with this fitted, the handbrake lock, and my "anti bonnet flying up at the windscreen" device, they will never do it,unless they have a Hiab.

Looks neat but.....why spend £40 when a hidden wire to earth from your coil will effectively do exactly the same - it'll crank all day but wont go anywhere!

Hallo Dave 411,

I also love gadgets but whats the point when it can be removed in 30 secs?
 With your permission I will adopt the anti bonnet lift device.

Should I atract your attention to the fact that
the positive pole is not insulated against the holding bracket ?
Also may I ask whats the use of tape(?) around the gear lever?

Cheers

I just pulls a lead off the coil. Most theft is opportunistic, so if the car won't start fairly quickly I doubt the person will go to the trouble of lifting the bonnet to investigate. I do have a far better 'anti-theft' device than what's shown in that photo though....Actually I have two 'anti-theft' devices. A garage door and a Citroen C4 on the drive.

Tbh, if the want it they'll have it. A switch on the wire to the coil would do?

Jam a screw driver in the flywheel, that'd fuck them up, just don't forget about it.

I remember the days when the mere fact that it was a 2cv was enough to stop it ever getting nicked. Happy days.
