The 'Deuches spéciales' Forum, coming soon...
I should probably explain what it's going to be all about...
At the moment I'm calling in favours, ringing round mates and sending various emails left right and centre to try and find a selection of really nice A series cars, not nescersarily Perfect original restored cars, and not always wild and wacky custom cars, but always interesting cars with a story to tell that we can feature in the new forum. It'll be similar in format to a magazine article, a lot of great pictures along with an in-depth write up detailing the car, and why we think it's worthy of showing off to the 2cv world here. So far I've got three cars lined up that we want to feature, (a Barbour 4x4, a UK 2CV race car and a Slough-built 2cv) one isn't finished, one won't be available to photograph until April and I've not been able to pin the owner of the other down and arrange a time to go and do the story, but rest assured they are coming soon. I have a shortlist of several dozen cars I am either trying to track down or waiting for replies from owners regarding us featuring them.
It will be an occasional feature, I hope to bring you a new one every few weeks, maybe more often, maybe less so. The thread will be read-only, but if people want to discuss the cars, We can always have a seperate thread in the General 2CV Chat section in which to talk about them!
I hope to bring you the first one in the next few weeks, Most likely the restored Slough car of a friend of mine. I'm looking forward to it myself, I hope they will be of interest to you guys!
If you know of an A series which is worthy, or any suggestions then let us know!

Re: The 'Deuches spéciales' Forum, coming soon...
Coming even sooner now, Neil and I went to see Little Rich's new 4x4 yesterday, had a good day out, thanks to Rich for taking the day out for us to photograph his car and ask him all manner of stupid questions, Once the pictures have been edited and I've written about it, I'll get it posted up.
I'd really appreciate some feedback on this chaps, if you think it's a nice thing to have, if you think it's a waste of our time, whatever, also, if you like it, tell us what sort of cars you want to see, thee's no point us just featuring cars we like, if our membership doesnt care a toss for them! We'llm do our best to get some ace motors up here for all to see. My aim is that this will be a fairly unique feature among 2cv websites of this type, so I'm interested to hear your thoughts!
