While there's not much to report on the 2CV, it's as reliable as ever, I do have some good news on my Morris Minor. While up in Shetland it wasn't able to run for any length of time, certainly wouldn't have gone very far from home with it (furthest distance was an 8-mile round trip). I returned to the Midlands in September after 7-years in Shetland, so I've had the Morris round at Peter Cross' place in Tibberton (he ran Continental Cars in Birmingham) for the last month. It took a bit of head-scratching and adjusting, cleaning various things, but eventually discovered the brand new (2017 almost no miles since) Champion D16 spark plugs were duff. He fitted a set of NGK AB-6 out of one of his Austin Sevens and the engine sprang into life with a push on the starter button. I have now bought a brand new set of the same plugs which have been fitted. Anyway, I finally got to take it out on the roads on Thursday morning and managed just under 17-miles over 45-mins. Oil pressure is very high so I've ordered a new spring and ball for the pressure relief valve to see if it helps. Other than that it was a great success, maxing out at a heady 38mph!!

Here's a short video taken just before I took it out on the run.

That will definitely happen if I can keep the old thing running
I'm a little concerned by the excessive oil pressure which was still at 50psi at idle after 17-miles, and up to 90psi at 25-35mph! I'm pretty certain the valve should kick in at 60psi.

While you're waiting for a motion picture  here are some photos.
