Finally got around to fitting the brand new Champion D16 spark plugs to the Morris this morning. Turned the key, hit the starter button with my foot, engine started and ran nicely. I've been out for a short drive of about 2 miles. Had to shoot off on a prior engagement and hoped to take it for a longer drive this afternoon, but the bastard weather has pissed on that idea.

So as the daylight faded there was a break in the rain so I shot round to the Morris and took it on a 6 mile round trip to the petrol station. That included a climb up quite a big hill in 2nd. Almost had to stop and select 1st as I approached the top, but the old thing just managed it 2nd. It struggled more on the journey back, but it did get me there without stopping. Don't know when I'll get the opportunity to play with it again. Work and bad weather seem to be conspiring against me. Here are two very short videos taken earlier.
