C3 Pluriel? Seems to me that Citroen so wanted it to emulate the 2cv... that they leak...BADLY!!! And according to Spanners, they are very noisy at speed, more so than a 2cv!!! Interesting car, badly executed.

So I assume as a 2cv driver you're used to having a car which never leaks and is so quiet at 80mph you can still hear the clock ticking?

Ours doesn't, and has never leaked, it's a lot quieter at speed than a 2cv.

Not that I like it, obviously, The closest anybody ever came to replicating a 2cv was the original Fiat Panda.

The earliest Pluriels were so noisy it was utterly unbelievable and as for the leaks..................

They're on about the 6th evolution of roof seals now and they can still leak although they changed the design of the plastic trim at the front of the roof (where the aerial is) which shut the wind noise up. :geek:

Biggest problem with Pluriels is that peoples damage the seals/roof arches/latches/micro switches etc by putting the roof back together incorrectly-mainly because the salesman didn't bother to show them how they work.

As for servicing a Pluriel, I'd much rather service a Pluriel than a 2CV-there's no bloody self tapper screws to slice my hand open on when you're changing the oil filter! ;)

There's been something in the Citroenian about plastic pegs around the boot/window latches. They're involved in the latching, and if/when they fail, the boot won't latch closed.

They're only available as part of the complete roof cassette. For a couple of grand. Plus VAT.
