 Citro-Camping Hello good people of this site.  I just love this! It's what I need for the rainy days when 2CV-camping. (I sleep in the car and do not carry a tent with me) If I could find someone selling "tent-cloth" pr.meter, and flexible tent-poles, I might be able to make a modern version of this. Anyone have an idea on how this is fixed to the car  I do not want to make holes in the car's body to attach anything.....

Three press stud clips for the rear of the car [one external,two internal, clipped to where the strap holds the roof open.] For the centre roof bar [roll bar?] ......a tape to tie around the bar. At the front of the car .....a clip to go into the bracket where the external roof fasteners used to fit on the 1970's "Specials" [yeah,really,all UK 2CV's have still got that clip]. Roll the roof back,fasten all the above fixings and then replace the roof. T.

Eirik, There are several suppliers of fabric for tents and awnings; this is one in the UK http://www.brianparkcamping.co.uk/ As for flexible poles - most decent outdoor shops in the UK offer glass fibre or aluminium replacement pole sections. It wouldn't be impossible to make your own!! Phil

Re: Citro-Camping Had once for my Dyane 1987 for a summer. It was good system, but it went with the car to the new owner. Planning to do kind of that for the acadiane. At the Most i had kind of that, but not.

Re: Citro-Camping I once tried something similar, using the flysheet and poles from an old tent. My experience was that tucking it under the roof *doesn't* work! It kept on trying to pull away from the car, because I couldn't find a satisfactory way of holding it on, and it allowed water to run into the car. I reckon it would work quite well though if you made something that went over the car, and possibly hooked into the door frames on the other side...
