Post Re: 2cv Insurance
Talking about law I've been watching this guy called the anti terrorist guy on YouTube. Probably mentioned it already
I suggest a watch of it
But insurance is stupid
It would cost 1300 to insure me on the company van. A VW caddy 1.8 diesel. Not worth it
Yet I'm insured to drive the company truck for less and that's 2.5 litre Nissan Nevara on 58 plate!!
Madness

Anyone know where Mike can get Nippy, the Dyane sidewinder insured cheaply? Mike is 23 and is currently with Adrian Flux...

I was about 25ish when I had my sidewinder dyane insured with Footman James, I'd reccomend Peter james for doing much the same as Footman James but taking the time to answer their phones once in a while too.

Be sure to take out international recovery. I paid £37 on top of my premium. Well worth it when I had to get picked up from Dover and taken 120 miles home this evening.

I feel a bed time story coming on..
Although some insurers give you one breakdow. Recovery so be careful,
It cost me 8 quid to add my car to the family's AA ful breakdown membership
Although I'd sooner rather call someone on here to ask for roadside help then an AA man unless they come with a lorry

The Van's with Bishop Calway. £120 plus £37 for recovery. In the UK its the AA, abroad it's whoever will bring you to the ferry. Its limited to 3000 miles, effectively a 'highdays and holidays' type policy - you have to have another vehicle in your own name with a different company that's your daily drive. They were dead helpful yesterday, plus they're based in an office in Brighton and ALWAYS answer the phone.

I'm only 18 - I've got a mobylette and a honda insured with footman james, I phoned up and asked for a hypothetical quote for my van about 2 weeks ago, they seemed very happy about it and offered me £800 full comp. which doesn't seem at all bad for my age!

When did they stop insuring people under 25? :?
