Post Re: 2cv Insurance
I've just moved from FJ to Peter James. A better deal for the same cover. Probably have to shop around again next year though - no discounts for loyal clients these days. I might not have bothered to move but FJ didn't send a reminder and I don't like being taken for granted.

John.

Have you tried Peter James Insurance?

I'm trying them at the moment however it seems they are having issues with their phones lines as i've only got up to adding an additional driver and its my third phone call to them :D

Finally got a quote from Peter James, they ended up calling me back off a mobile just so we could complete everything, the quote is £241.36 so about £20 more than with FJ and it doesn't cover me for driving other vehicles (this came in handy when i needed to borrow Jacks car on monday)

It's ridiculous that quotes are never consistant, particularly as FJ and PJ usually share underwriters on similar policies.

I can't complain about FJ..so far at least. Have an agreed value policy for the Caban, and when I bought the white spesh a few weeks ago, they put it on the same policy with no increase in premium at all...just a £20 admin fee...I thought that was fair play.

Just had the renewal from FJ at £160 - three named drivers, agreed value and unlimited miles. That's £20 less than last year's price. :)

I'm just about to ring them and give them a piece of my mind as I've had my renewal through and they want £231 :o  :x  I really do think they are taking the piss.

Over £2000...

That's just what it does to dad's policy adding me as a named driver. So I'm not even getting no claims discount yet.

Bloody 'ell.
