eerm you sure ? all of the names given to the basic 2CV I reckon are a bit weird...but the Spot is seriously a rare beast...the D0lly....sorry..feeling ill again......plain and simple is my ideal !

D*lly is a bloody stupid name though. But the cars themselves are no more twee or camp than Beachcombers. I like plain coloured ones best too (with some exceptions) - they're much more in keeping with the car's concept and history.

The issue I have with them (I think I've covered most loopholes with the swearfilter now) is that the name has stuck and non 2cvers refer to anything vaguely A-series as a D*lly, be it dyane, ripple, whatever. I'd hold Beachcombers, Charlestons, SPOTs ot whatever in the contempt if it had been those models that given their names to the non-2cving public to sully the rest of our little cars with.
