Post Original 2CV Roof Rack
I think I just purchased tonight one of the ebay bargains of the week - a genuine 2CV roof rack, removed from an 1980's car - it cost me 99p - there were no other bidders. They must all have been outside making snowmen at the close of bidding!!!!! By the way I might need some technical advice on fitting.

I made contact with seller and because I live in Glasgow, he agreed I could arrange courier pick-up. I have a price of £10.00. Good to get your reply.

Any chance of a photo of the rack please ?
I'd like to get an idea of how easy or hard/impossible it might be to reproduce one...
Regards,
Geoff.

Allan,

Did the rack come complete with 4 x 2 piece clamps?

Hi Geoff, When I get the rack next week, I will be happy to send you photos and should you decide to go ahead and make one I would be happy to give you all of the dimensions including paper tracings of the angles and curves.
I am visiting your beautiful country next Dec and looking forward to a warm Christmas as at the moment here in Glasgow we have 20cms of snow.
Regards
Allan

We're in Adelaide - would be good to catch up if it works out with you.
I worked nearly 25 years up in the "beautiful country" ... oil/gas fields of far northern South Australia. Not so beautiful in full summer; a bit like the antithesis of winter on the North Sea rigs. Very happily retired now and enjoying life (and our Duck!)
Have to say, though that today's weather here is for end of November very unseasonably cold & windy - in the low 20's Centigrade. :P
