How many here are not 2CVGB members?
I rejoined last year on getting my knackered iold Charleston. But money's a bit tight these days and I don't think I'm getting much out of the club that I don't get from this forum. I don't particularly like the mag (although I recognise it's very professional, it's just not my thing) and the only camp I made it to last year was well publicised on here beforehand. Am I bad for even thinking about not rejoining?

Re: How many here are not 2CVGB members?
I have been whining on here about the magazine from 2CVGB, I think under its current editor its a bit dull.
However, I couldn't dream of not being a member of 2CVGB. It is a very good club and promotes the long term for the car.
I think it is safe to say that this forum is unlikely to have existed had the club not been founded all those years ago. Most of you wouldn't know each other. The strength and interest in the car in the UK has been fostered by 2CVGB. Without that history then the parts suppliers were unlikely to have started their businesses either.
So in reality everyone who owns and runs a 2CV for fun or just daily transport has a lot to thank the UK club for and it should be supported. It is, as a wise sage has said, just the cost of a tank of fuel for 12 months membership.

Re: How many here are not 2CVGB members?
never really get much out the mag either
however for the £25 you get someone fighting your corner with the FVBH against the Eurocrats. spog making non profitable but needed re manufactured parts you may get more than £20 off your insurance sensible valuation from the Registrar if someone was to total your pride an joy couple of events a year and umberrella insurance that lets them go ahead website sticker

Im not too fussed about renewing my membership. I don't participate much at events, and i get more responses on this forum, and about 100 times more fun.
