Hi all ..... our daughter got married last week in Ibiza. I was delighted by her choice of wedding car .....she asked me to drive her to the church [and "give her away"] in 2CV.
We hired a 2CV from "Ducks United" ....

.....a small friendly 2CV hire company run by a lovely couple called Anna & Ramon.
Our hired 2CV was an Ivory coloured "club" .....a superb car,which I would be proud to run here in the UK.
Anyway .....pics are worth a thousand words ....so heres a small selection of pics ...







The drive to the church was an experience ......15km ...in 80+ degrees and "Leave the roof on Dad,we dont wanna mess up our hair" ....Phew

The drive to & from the church was incredible .....the Ibizeans [sp?] seem to love weddings .....we were getting hoots from other cars and cheers & waves from passers-by.



After the wedding day,Linda & myself were left to explore the island on our own .....I was trying to do a bit of "duck spotting" .....chance sightings of an Orange Dyane,a blue Ami and 2x2CV's [a white one & blue one] caught me without my camera .....but here's the best of the rest.

We found where Anna & Ramon store their Ducks ....



Here's Linda with our car ... the blue one in the centre was nicely painted in pale blue pearescent paint ...



....this rather sorry looking example was parked on the roof of a Citroen garage ....

....just outside Ibiza town .....

...this sorry looking Dyane was also in the compound of the same garage [along with another 2CV,and a very fierce dog]








All too soon it was time to hand our 2CV back to its owners ....

I can only add that if anyone is going to Ibiza ...this is the way to see the island
