What sort of sound system have you got in your car then?

My Ami has a 600w 4ch JBL amp which runs two 16cm JBL speakers and a 300w JBL Sub. It runs from my iPod via a 3.5mm Jack to phono leads, which is the way forward, as there's no head unit to get dripped on or nicked.

My red 2cv has an iPod and some headphones.

I'll try and get some pics next time I see the ami.

I remember when 'in car entertainment' was exactly that. It stayed in the car.

Today we all have to hear the thumping going by. Low frequency sounds travel a long way and can be really annoying if you are trying to sleep and some youth (yes, I'm nearly 60) is demonstrating his 'coolness' nearby. :x

Has anyone been prosecuted yet for noise nuisance? Is there any research into the effects of subsonic vibrations on the human body?

Search eBay for '3.5mm jack to rca' leads, if your amp is more that two channels you'll need to get hold of some splitter leads too. The 3.5mm jack simply plugs into your iPod/phone/Walkman/mp3 player/personal radio and the RCA end plugs into your amp. You'll need to set the amp up again, but once you've got it right you never need to touch it again.
