i know 2cv's arent the most water tight thing known to man, but when i opened the back door, just below the seatbelt anchor point on the floor (where it is highter than the actual floor) was a puddle, i cant work out where it came from, any ideas? i know it rained alot last night, but never happend before, could it be through rear quarter light? its on the nearside, and door was shut before anyone askes if it was!!

Did you notice if any water had collected under the door window rubber? Quite often you'll find rusty water marks around the bottom of window the rubber (inside) where the water has found its way around the seal. If the wind is in a particular direction or the rain is torrential it can be quite often found running down the door cards - thus collecting in that area.

no it didnt look to be from the rear door, as it was around where the back bench seat clips in if that makes sense,
my rear quarter lights are sealed properly, so it SHOULDNT leak through there,

My guess is rust holes under the rubber for the third window. It doesn't take much rust before water gets trough, and will run down the inner wing and settle in the area near the mount for the rear seat.

If the window rubberseal has small bulges along the outer edge, then it's rust underneath. Lift the rubber and give the rust a poke, if it reveals a hole, put some sealing stuff on there and you are good for one more summer

I'm saying 3/4 windows too, the water can pour in even when they don't look too bad.

ive had the rear windows out, not a spot of rust on it, an then put bak and sealed so it shouldnt come from there..
