Re: Average MPG I've had as low as 36mpg(when towing a Combi-Camp), and when flat out on a motorway I'm getting 38-39mpg. A little idiosyncrasy I have with my 2cv is that when I brim the tank the fuel gauge refuses to work till the fuel has dropped to within the tank, and then it jumps into life and shows a full tank. If I drive it flat out on a motorway, the gauge will start working after 25-30miles, but if I drive at 55-60mph I've got as far as 46miles before the gauge works.

I think it was about 120mpg on oil, too.

That seems very low. I'm currently between 2CVs and running a 1991 Daihatsu Fourtrak. Which has a 2.8 litre diesel engine, which I'm getting just over 30mpg out of.

Re: Average MPG I know, but even so ... I used to get 33 or so out of my Volvo 240 estate, and each cylinder of that was the same capacity as a whole 2CV engine.

Re: Average MPG Gearbox Guru pr managed to tweak my 4x4 to over 40mpg on the trip to Raid Poronkusema. That was with roof rack running studded tyres and air temp between -5 to -20c!!  Now on standard (read non studded) tyres and it's over 45 sometimes on road!

The pick up, I guess 35mpg, never kept records of that.
