 front bench seat
is it possible to make a rear seat, and modify it into working in the front, i quite fancy a bench seat in the front, or is it not worth the hassle?

Just find a front bench - plenty across the channel. You'll need the centre runner, too. Much, much easier than trying to make a rear into a front.

 Re: front bench seat
I made one out of a rear seat. It was okay but I had trouble getting it to slide in the runners.
I made it so it fitted in the standard middle runner and covered it with a normal back seat cover.
It looked fine and was comfy enough but the problem is that the seat frames are so flexible that the distance inbetween the runners is pretty impossible to get right. It varies when anybody sits on it as the frame flexes.
I managed to get hold of a proper frame eventually along with a single central runner but to be honest it doesn't slide much better and the proper front bench cover I ordered from Cassis only fits where it touches.

 Re: front bench seat
Im quite the type to put the seat in a certain position and leave it for years, so as long as it stayd there thats fine! But idont want to weld one into place!!
Realistcly id be happy to pick up a bench seats and runners and weld them to the runners and make it work!
