Well folks here's your chance to win an original oil painting of a 2cv, the one above in fact. :D

Those of you that have followed my Blue-bamboo blog will have seen this painting take shape over the last week or two, and now it's finished I'd like to offer it to fellow I2F members as a prize, all you have to do to enter is to come up with a title for it.

The scene is an old barn 'somewhere in France'. The door creaks slowly open for the first time in many years, and as your eyes become accustomed to the light, slowly, out of the gloom you begin to make out a familiar shape...it's dust covered, it's rusty, but most definitely - it's a 2cv!

Who owned it, or how long it's been sat there is anyone's guess, but for those of us that think cars such as these should be brought back to life again, scenes like the one depicted here are akin to finding hidden treasure.

When rebuilding my own car recently I've had a great deal of help and advice from members of this forum, one or two of you have even sent me parts, free of charge to help me along. I am very grateful for such displays of kindness, and so I offer this painting by way of giving something back to the forum. As I said above all that you need to do to try and win it is to study the painting, come up with an original title, and post it here - simple!

I'll leave this post open for a couple of weeks to give everyone the chance to enter, after which I will put all the names and suggestions into a hat, and let my Mrs draw out the winner. Just for fun you can enter as many times as you like, but to keep it fair only the first entry from each person counts toward the draw, that way everyone has an equal shout.

I'll be off-line for a couple of weeks after next Wed's due to my just sacking BT and changing my ISP and telephone provider over, but on my return I'll gather up the suggestions and do the draw. The winner will get the painting, and the painting will thus be forever named whatever the winning entry called it. 8-)

Good luck, and have fun!

Ah! Found it at last. I always have trouble with multi-storey car parks.
