Post Ami Super/GS Slotted Wheels
Hey chaps,

Are the Ami Super Slots and the GS Slots the same?

I thought ECAS were doing them new but now can't find them listed, know of any other suppliers?

Kind regards,

fritz

ps. I'm thinking of sticking them on my bamboo & sticking the shiny gs full wheel trims on the lomax.. what do you think??

Hey Fritz, GS slots & Ami slots aren't the same - similar at first glance, but actually quite different. I have a feeling G slots are 5.5j? I've no doubt i'll be corrected in due course!

i've noticed ECAS no longer list them - although i'd certainly give Roy a bell & see if he has them in stock - they may just not be listed on the website!

They are still listed here;

The offset of a GS wheel rim isn't the same as for an A series rim, so unless you attack the steering lever arms with oxyacetylene (or a big hammer) there may be trouble ahead.

Mind you, there might be trouble even with the afore-mentioned 'solutions'... :roll:

Here's Tarquin's modified steering arms - he's running GSA alloys on his Acadiane.

Theoretically an MOT fail in the UK.

Ami Super wheels are the ones you're after (or Mehari Plage etc). Nicer looking than a GS wheel, although IMO not as nice as a stock 2cv wheel. I'm in a minority with that opinion on here though!

I've had at least three cars now pass MOT with cut and welded suspension parts that the old man said should theoretically fail, if it looks good enough that it could have come from the factory, and the tester isn't a Citroen enthusiast, it'll probably be fine.
