well my car is going to need a new chassis soon ![]() ![]() anyway, i was wondering (i did search forum first also) if someone who is doing things like body removel, engine removel, and re chassis, could take pics (dont go out your way) but if you dont mind, and post them for me, only of the key bits, like i know theres a loada bolts i think its 20 holding body on, but i would have no idea how to take the steering wheel and all that out! and also engine removel, if anyone is removing one if they wouldn't mind id find it helpful, and id be very grateful. im not planning on doing the chassis yet, so theres no rush, i was looking through my book and its not really that helpful, i saw the engine removel thread for the dyane, although i know its similar, if someone is doing an engine removel on a 2cv, and doesnt mind sparing the time id be grateful, Thanks |

James, aren't you following Russell's 'Red Special' thread? There's even some advice on the recommended frequency of tea, coffee or beer breaks, as well as intake of crumpets and other sustenance. ![]() ken |

I've missed plenty of photo opportunities to do a 'how to' thread, but I will take as many pics of everything that has to be undone before you can take the body off. I'll try and post up enough indo to describe the rebuild too. |

I'd have given you my adress and you could have come and seen first hand, I did it right yesterday too, normally there's always something you forget to undo when you lift a shell off, and yesterday I got everything right! |

sods law though! oh well, well if you dont mind a few pics of putting things back together, then might make sense to me... i was reading my how to restore a 2cv book, which i got for my birthday (The very expensive one!) it tells you how to do a few things, but the things im not sure about is removing cables etc and also if your taking the windows out, you cuoldnt take just 1 pic of the good method, as im likely to smash it with my imcompetence! |

It's pretty hard to smash windows taking them out. I've never done it anyway, and I'm really quite incompetent. Sorry but there's not many pictures of it going back together, it's going seriously slowly and i'm missing so many parts it won't be done today anyway. |
