Post Re: Snail Delivery
Hi all! Got myself a little driving job on top of my existing boring as hell day job, every Friday (providing workload is there) I will be driving from Norwich to Liverpool and back. Now obviously some weeks the van will be full but if anyone needs anything moving and isn't too far off my route (I have a time slot to drop off and pick up) then I may be able to help. I'll try keep an eye out on here but if I don't reply then ring/text 07866 400782.

Chris

Chris,
how big is the van? Is it capable of moving something that's 3.540m long?

It would also be useful to know what are the chances of it arriving in one piece and not bent...

Cheers ken! I believe what I'm driving is a 'Luton' transit (removal van type thing, I'll know more Friday)

I'll be doing a14-m6 Bradford is the wrong side of Manchester but I'm sure I could swing that way..?

Chris,
I haven't started on the chassis yet, it's a special for one of the 2CV race mob.
Anyhow, Norwich to Liverpool via A14/M6 is 254 miles, compared with a return trip of 251 miles via M62/M18/A1/A17, according to Google maps...
Guess it will depend on whether or not the boss has satellite tracking of the van.

As he only does one trip a week in a rented van, I doubt it!

I'm currently spending three nights a week in Kings Lynn (work thing).
Home is in the opposite direction to Cornwall though.
