Hey Folks,
Can anyone tell me what the story is with Dyane spares :::
Any good suppliers, I noticed the usual guys don't seem to have too much....

In particular, does anyone do Door Rubbers, and Window seals?

And Doors and body panels?

All you Dyane fans, let me know.

Best regards,
Shane.

id reckon we are all dyane fans, some more as I love my dyane. 8-)

id say parts arnt THAT hard to get hold of as forums like this have amazing connections :D, there are 2cv part websites like my fav
http://www.ecas2cvparts.co.uk/

of course some parts are like bonnets original ones fetch high but if you look on French websites like leboncoin you can find bargains, im not an expert as this is my first dyane and A-series.

why you rebuilding a dyane? :P

Shane,
if it's s/h Dyane spares, got to admit that I've probably got far too many of them.

But then again, if you're crackers enough to spend a fair bit of your time welding the blighters back together, it's always handy to be able to wander down the paddock and find that part which had gone awol some years ago.

This stage can be quite depressing,

But things can get better...

Looking forward to driving this one for its MOT in a few weeks, but first there are some blooming 2CVs to attend to.

Not rebuilding one, but a mate has one that's on offer (If he makes his mind up)..... I had been after another 2cv, but I am really being swayed to Dyanes or even (dare I say it...Acadianes; insert evil cackle here    )

What has worried me about them is that I haven't been able to locate some of the "standard" replacement items on a 40yr old car....e.g. Door seals.

I am not worried about running gear of course, just the more Dyane specific stuff...I have dealt with Ecas in the past too.

.....................................

My god Ken.....is that a floorpan fashion entirely from weetabix......CRUSTY..... Still better than my old AMI ended up, He He He..

Regards,
Shane.

You could always join 2CVGB and take advantage of SPOG & the club spares stock (if you're not a member already) ;)

there are many classic car trim suppliers out there that can help not sure of any that spring to mind for door rubbers but they are a standard type. just the length that alters. failing that, try classic car shows. there is 1 coming up this weekend at shepton mallet. the slough will be on display. or spog:
