Not seen that one before! Were you inside sampling the beverages, Joe?

me either, not seen that azu van this year either.
i wish. im still nursing a hangover as we speak :( double beer bonus is NOT a bonus on the morning.

AZU, if it's the one i'm thinking about it's been written off!

Sam is the dude that owns it & he works part-time for Graham Wilson in Callington. I must admit i hadn't seen it since he turned up in CZ! I was chatting to him when i was last out there. It turns out that back during the icey spell a chap who has been trained by the Army/Marines in just such conditions lost control of his Land Rover & ploughed straight in to Sam's van!

The net result being; The arm's bent, track rod, wing, headlamp, light bar, bonnet, wheel etc all suffered. The biggest blow was that the 50 year old original chassis is bent! He's just managed to buy complete front axle/suspension clip from 2cv City - from another oldie thats been modernised...

Today in North Yorkshire, a blue special with a cream/white bonnet heading south on the A1. I was going the other way with four other 2cvs.

On the way home, a red Dyane coming out of Whalley junction, A59....

It's always surprises me how I don't see any for weeks on end( I think there is only three 2cvs otr in my town), but as soon as you travel about abit you realise they are still out there 8-)

There's a certain irony in the "Drive It Day" signs in the Bamboo's rear doors...

Just thought I'd mention the Green Club & G reg R & W D*lly round Coningsby & the Biege/Brown Special that's often on South Parade, Northallerton. 2CVGBers will know about them already from posts of old.

No idea why this should be, but I've had an uncanny ability recently of dropping into a random street on Google's Street View and being presented by a 2cv

I've just been looking around north Gloucestershire, along the M50 corridor and dropped onto a village named Redmarley D'Abitot, and lo and behold, the first thing I see in a field is a blue celeste Special  Looking on Google Earth(image taken in 2007, it appears to be parked on the road, with the hood open. Think I'll pootle off for a nose ;)

Recent in-the-flesh spots:

Magnificently scruffy Charlston, parked up in a driveway in downtown Kidderminster.

Red Spesh, in a driveway in Rock, Worcs.

Plums and Custard, parked up in Oswestry, Shrops.
