What is the woman thinking?
Working across the road from our workshop, she saw my rust bucket AK 400 being loaded in to the container. OK if his 2cv is ok maybe mine is too.
Woman turns up, can you please come a look at my 2cv, I want it back on the road again. It is 4 years ago, I have all the panel. No worries, fired up a 2cv and went to her farm house. Well do I need to say any more

Told her the same thing. Bonnet is missing so how much water is inside the gear box, engine, carby, alternator, starter etc etc. All brakes needs redoing including master cylinder and pipes + pretty much everything else. I told her to go and get a good condition used 2cv for 2500 euros. She got very upset. Still want a quote :o

My wife was the same. when my Bluebamboo was terminally rusty I bought a very good car as a replacement, I could then use the bamboo for spares. My wife was sad like a puppy had died, and I had to sell the replacement and spend more money to fix the original car!

Maybe give her a quote(had to check what that word meant, other than repeat what someone have said, lol) on the price of a new, used car in good nick, and use her a spares. She don't need to know ;)

But that wouldn't be fair, I know......
