Looks like we better put our orders in for a chassis if we want one!

Sorry John all sold.
This story needs to shine on the mate ship of Aussie 2cv folks pulling together. When we decided to ship the white 2cv and the news was spreading, others got in asking for chassis and parts. 2 more cars added and suddenly we needed the 40ft conatiner. Thanks to forums and net working this was made possible. Next container in 12 month time.

Viking,
is that galvanized chassis for David MacKinnon in Melbourne?

Wonder if I should have discussed commission before passing the order on to you...

Hard to hide anything from you, eh :P
I did give you the green light earlier for a ride but I didn't receive the chassis :o

Viking,
no worries, reckon you've already hit the nail on the head with this comment... "Thanks to forums and networking this was made possible."

It didn't make any sense for me to send a single chassis to Melbourne for David MacKinnon, at £450 sea freight or £350 air freight, when you'd already got a container due to land in Melbourne.

Even just sending one over to France to hitch a ride in the container would probably have cost well over £100, so I'd happily settle for a beer (or maybe two ;) ) when we meet... :)

Thanks Bart. Ya Australia is a remote place with few 2cv's. If I can't help adding some every now and then, I'll be happy. The down side if that the UK looses some. Can only ship right hand drive unless the 2cv's are 30 years old.
