Post subject:  Another old album-Dave Scarff

I've just uploaded two of Dave Scarff's old photo albums: they date back to around 1990 to 1995, some even show the big hairy bearded bloke as he was before he became big, hairy, bearded and tattooed.

At the moment it's all just raw footage: I haven't had time to add tags or descriptions but there's a few interesting cars and a few faces far younger than I've ever seen them before!

It's taken a while, but i think Dave bought an Ami 8 berline from Barry Bowles garden, it had a resto job- new roof sections etc & a BRG paintjob & i almost swapped it for my '81 Club at the Uttoxeter INTERnational in 1997!

I'll check with him Neil. I know he's owned an Ami or two in the past and Bazzer is a close friend of his. The photos also show an Ami 8 Berline, PYJ 618R, in both yellow and what may be BRG and also show roof repairs to a yellow Ami which I believe is the same car.

If anyone knows where PYJ 618R is now then I know that Dave would like to know. The same goes for his old Dyane, "Jasper" UAH 733W.

One of my favourites in the album is the blue 2cv cabriolet:-

Although I'm not so keen on the wide wheels it's all the subtle body mods that I like: the lights in the front wing, the squared off edge to the wing, the triangular fillet panel detail and the rear wings. The headlamps appear to be shallower than standard items and the wheels are cool as well, but I don't like the width of the tyres. It all looks really well done and also as if it left the factory that way.
