Post 2CV in Star Trek?!
Did anyone see Star Trek Voyager the other day episodes "the killing game" parts one and two?

It was set in occupied France during the war and the only car they could get hold of was an 80's Charleston in black and red! Obviously it had me jumping up and down shouting at anyone that'd listen that the car was 35-40 years out of place, but did anyone else see it?

I love how when called up on it - the creators suggested it was an intentional mistake, as it was a "holographic simulation" and due to it being over 400 years in the future, there would inevitably be some 'slight' inconsitencies.

Just admit it!

I love stuff like that. I watch 'The Unit' a lot and its obvious they've never filmed outside of the US, but whenever they have a street scene set in Europe they've always got an odd mix of cars that might have been sold here. I once saw them drive a nissan altima (not sure we got them here) and what cars they do get have usually got US sized number plate holders with an EU plate bent in the middle so they can attach it.

There were some episodes of the A-team (or McGuiver I'm not shure) that took place in East Germany. The only cars driving around where old grey 2cv's. Hey, communist country, they must have weird cars, Americans don't have a clue anyway

In the late 1970's there was a TV drama "Secret Army" ....set in wartime Belguim it was about the Belgian Resistance and their efforts to hamper the occupying German Forces ....it later became the inspiration for the highly successful 1980's comedy series 'Allo'Allo.

"Secret Army" was recently re-shown on one of the cable channels ....
.....In one episode the Resistance are trying to get one their own guys away ......the plot features a Belgian Baker, and a lot of the filming is done in the back of the Bakers shop .....where there is a beautiful three bar grille aks400 parked.
At the end of the story, the guy they are trying to help to escape is betrayed, and is shot as he boards a train .....[in Wansford Station .....which is the Nene Valley Railway's station ] ....the Germans are waiting for him ....and shoot him .... the Resistance then drive away in the AK van.

As a final twist to the tale ....the train was hauled by a British locomotive ....built in 1954..... [I only noticed that bit 'cos one of my "other hobbies" is steam trains and preserved railways] :geek:
