 Anybody in North East?
Hi all, as you may have seen in the classified section, i am looking for a 2CV, but i was wondering if anybody in in the North East (Newcastle area) who would be able to let me sit in their 2CV so i can see if i fit. I only ask this as i am 6' 5" tall

As long as you have squidgy seats I re sprung mine... a bit too enthusiastically and put extra foam in - my head was scraping the roof

You'll fit. You just need some Cit BX seats if you want to stretch out a bit. That's what I had in Hellbilly, in which I drove hundreds of miles at a time without needing an osteopath. I dunno how tall Tri (who now owns Hellbilly) is. But he's pretty damned tall. And although I'm only 5'8" I'm pretty damned lardy, as you know. We managed to fit in it with no problem. Even at the same time!

We'll i'm in Newcastle but the car is stripped down for rebuild and it being a Dyanne so not that much use at all.. Sorry

rustybus, I'm 6' 4" and find that forward visibility is much better when driving a Dyane than a 2CV, unless the seat has partially collapsed in the latter . Btw, don't bother with a 2CV-based van unless you enjoy being squashed against the steering wheel. ken
