Post subject:  Anyone know anything about the Argentinean cars?

Howdy, everyone.

Early in 2009 I spent a couple of months bicycling around Argentina. Lots of 2CVs (or 3CVs, as they call them) down there. I understand that they were locally built.

Anyone know anything about them? Quality? Parts compatibility with European manufactured cars? Are there any useful resources available about them on the web?

Once I've edited the write up we'll be featuring one in the deuche special section. A lot of subtle changes to euro a series cars, although I believe a lot of spare parts originate from south America nowadays. Do you have any photos of the cars you saw?

Oh, indeed I did. I took a pic of almost every 2CV I saw, when I could. But the pix are with the camera that was in the handlebar bag that some miscreant lifted in Mendoza! Bastard.
