Bertie, The Mehari is Terrence Kennedy's one. He wrote a book about travelling the world in meharis and a 2cv van called 'a nonsense of direction' amazing story and a very interesting chap I had a chat with him at the Slovenia WM. From the picture the Mehari camper body evolved again, having a pop up roof by the time I saw it in the flesh. He also had a GS motor running the Mehari 4x4 running gear at the time. A few from the World Meeting in Netherlands, 1997: Going home on the last day, empty site. Always sad! On the way home, first breakdown of Ben's van, about 5km after leaving the site! |
