Post Ho... Ho... Ho...
Those of you who know me well will be aware that there are three things I find it difficult to get enthused about.

Christmas, Children and Exercise.

So quite how I got volunteered to do a charity fun run, dressed as Santa, amongst a thousand other Santas, in aid of a children's charity is a bit of a mystery...

Well, no, it's not that much of a mystery. All the money raised will go to a rather wonderful charity called Contact a Family (http://www.cafamily.org.uk/) who support, advise and inform families who find themselves in the unenviable position of having a child with disabilities or chronic medical conditions - especially where the conditions are of the "We don't have a clue what it is, but it's probably genetic" or "The name of the condition is longer than the list of people with it" kind. Their vision is that all families with disabled children are empowered to live the lives they choose to live, and achieve their full potential, for themselves, for the communities they live in and for society.

Last year, Contact a Family helped over 300,000 families with disabled children. That's an impressive number, but it's one they'd love to increase, if only they had the funding.

Five kilometres doesn't sound like a long way - and three miles sounds even easier - but in full Santa costume, and in what'll undoubtedly be peeing rain - it's more than far enough.

I promise faithfully that I'm in full training at the moment, although you might not be wrong to suspect this consists mainly of honing my mince pie & sherry consumption skills.

Don't let this supreme (and probably ultimate) sacrifice be in vain. Dig deep. Give generously. Give here... https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/AdrianChapman

If you're in the area, feel free to come along to Greenwich Park on the morning of the 6th December. The "Ho Ho Ho" will come naturally.

At least he's wearing black socks instead of some ugly, out of fashion, white socks...

If anything, it's slightly ahead of schedule. I might look for my trainers in the morning, rather than waiting until Saturday. I'm sure I've got some somewhere.

Dangerous stuff, this training lark. A neighbour is in training for the London Marathon at the mo. On Sunday afternoon, I popped round to see if he could give Russ & I a hand carrying the AK back to my garage. Ooops, sorry. He'd buggered his leg up.
